I guess computer D&D is just way more difficult than I thought. String7th: DCT, wow! I didn't know it was that intelligent.I definitely have high base stats, I re-rolled to at least an 18 in the favored ability for the class. For example if you enter the uncleared slums with a level 6 party with 18 in all stats in a encounter with kobolds you will face at least 9 kobolds, 3 kobold leaders and one to two bugbears.

So the higher you base stats are and the higher your character level the more monsters are added to the encounter as well as more stronger monsters save for set encounters they will always have the same numbers and monsters. As for encounters you will run into more if you walk around with the "search" command on and as for difficulty those are tied to base stats and character levels. A few rounds of total party wipeout makes me question if the code wheel "bypass" just makes the game so difficult it's unplayable.Īnybody else seen this? the copy protection is not tied to encounter rates or rolls, all the CP did was keep you from playing the game nothing more, nothing less. can't go into slums 1 step without hitting random encounter, and seems every roll is in their favor. I got into the game, typed anything, but now the game is on psycho hard mode. Then I saw the post about not needing the code wheel, claiming I can type anything.

String7th: I started playing the game using the code wheel codes, played a few sessions over a few days and got into some battles here and there.
